(this photo refuses to go where I want it to go. It is part of our Thanksgiving get together at Pete and Pennys and I am trying to put it where it belongs!. Sometimes computers just will not listen to directions. Sorry)

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. At this time of the year, I like to thank my “super power” for the many blessings bestowed upon me and I pray for all to have good health, joy and peace in the coming year!
What a crazy month this has been. Yes,- I am in Panama now – a lot of rain and once again, leaks within the walls in the Condo I am renting which will have to be fixed again – the THIRD time. Wonder when they will truly get to the bottom of the problem which we all do know is coming from ABOVE me and fix it properly!!!! My landlord lives in the states so you know I am the one worrying about it as it is my health with that stuff. With trying to settle in once again and having so much else to do, this has truly been exhausting for me. But I just keep moving one foot in front of the other and keep going.

on Monday night at our restaurant here down by the beach and spent a most delightful evening. I am finally starting to come out of my shell and actually feel like seeing people once again and spending time with friends. I am not totally “out” but slowly, surely and a little at a time, I am becoming me again (whatever that really is) – maybe the “devil”!!!!
Had to go to Panama City for a few days for many, many errands and of course stayed with my dear friend Isabel. To say she had me running from early morning until late at night is an understatement!. Where she gets all of the energy, I will never know, but we both did collapse after I left to return to the beaches. We took NO photos of anything as we both agreed that we looked so bad and so exhausted that we did not want anyone to see us looking like that. But just one photo of some Mediterranean appetizers we ordered at a fabulous mid-eastern restaurant near her in Costa del Este.. That was our dinner with wine and of course Bubbly for me.

I DID accomplish everything that I needed to do plus and such a good feeling, but not being that exhausted – for sure! Isabel is great to go shopping with as she knows where things are, and of course her speaking Spanish is a terrific plus for me as I do not speak fluently. I did actually collapse when I got home late that Saturday afternoon and spent 2 days in bed- literally. I was truly exhausted and my body knew it!  But three days later Debby drove back into the city with me as I had a hair appointment. Traffic was horrendous and the Polizia was all over the place. We did manage to stop on the way back at one of our favorite Asian restaurants and had a fabulous lunch.

Thanksgiving was spent at friends’ Penny and Pete’s home among friends, but a few wives were missing due to travel and being away. Delicious food, drink, ballgames and friendship. A lovely atime was had by all.

We are now entering the final month of the year and coming to the end of another decade!. Where does the time go? Seems like only yesterday………. Lots of parties and things to do this coming month but I have vowed to maintain my low profile. I cannot go to everything, do not want to go to everything and am learning what is really important is ME and what it is that I really want to do. Not only that but I realize I am not in the mood for a lot of runnng around as well as too much involvement. I am enjoying using my brain to “think” about what it is I want to accomplish yet and I think I have figured out a few things I truly want to get done and will start on those things in the New Year. I have also found that I really want a good book to read, a good movie to watch and some really good conversation with some good friends. Lot of “good” there, but for now, those are my true desires.

To my loving family and wonderful friends – Happy Hanukka and Merry Christmas as we do celebrate once again – together this year. May the holidays bring all that you wish for and may 2020 be the start of a beautiful, happy, peaceful and loving New Year and decade! I am hoping that all of us can come together and be respectful of one another and please accept whatever it is that the “people” of this country vote for! Our fighting is not helping our great country and certainly not our relationships with each other. Enough of my sermon –
Love you all and wish all of you and your loved ones the BEST of the BEST – always, and until next month……………
